SUCCEED BY LIVING IN THE PRESENT

Do you feel locked into a path of past failures? THEN SUCCEED, BY LIVING IN THE PRESENT. YOU WILL LEARN TO FORGET THE PAST AND ITS TOXIC EVENTS. INSTEAD, YOU WILL ENJOY THE PRESENT WHILE YOU PREPARE FOR THE FUTURE. LIVING IN THE PRESENT MEANS FORGETTING THE PAST. FOR THE PAST CAN BE A DANGER TO YOUR DESIRE TO SUCCEED.
By living in the present instead of the past, you put a stop sabotaging your own dreams for future success. When you spend your time constantly reviewing details of an unpleasant experience and trying to understand why it happens, it becomes imprinted in your imagination. My best advice is this: do not put yourself to further stress by trying to understand. Instead, accept the reality of your inner pain, decide what to do about it, and then take remedial action.
Having done so, you can accept the idea that peace comes because of moving through and beyond pain. In fact, Scientists have found that when you focus on the ordinary events that led up to a disturbing experience, you tend to forget it over time. You made one decision rather than another; you chose a later date or time rather than an earlier one; you chose one place to hangout rather than another; you decided to walk rather than drive or the other way round; to swim rather than walk along the shore?
So, accept comfort from remaining family and friends, strangers, and buildup of peace through interaction with tranquility, music and fine arts, and bountiful nature. No one is immune from trouble and pain; so, embrace it, believing that there will be an ending, just as there was a beginning. Embracing your pain involves accepting the fact that things happened in the in the normal run of life.
LIVING IN THE PRESENT ENHANCES A SUCCESS MINDSET
Whatever you did, you were ordained to do. Whatever happened was ordained to happen, and we cannot change it. So, go ahead with your crying, shrieking, weeping, screaming. Do anything that will help you to release the pent-up emotional tension. But when you sense that you have reached close to the end of your capacity to contain it, then stop.
Once you have reached the point where you can ask yourself this question, then consider that there are fresh approaches to stopping the pain. Some of these are positive and some are negative; in order to reach your objective of getting peace-of-mind, and there, feeling better, you need to reflect on what you need to do to put a stop to the negative emotions that contribute to that pain.
NEGATIVE APPROACHES
Living in the present squashes prior negative approaches to gain emotional release. They include drinking, worry, depression and drugs (including prescription drugs). Learn to let go of those common approaches to the pain of loss. For, if you think about it for a bit, you will agree that that they do not work, essentially since they only form a crutch and tend to be taken to excess. Sometimes pain may even be because of guilt; you have survived whereas others close to you have not.
POSITIVE APPROACHES
Whenever problems threaten to overwhelm you, the best action to take is affirmative rather than negative. And so, when you find yourself attacked by negative memories, think about solutions and take affirmative action, for example, instead of giving in to self-pity, you could repeat words: such as “I can do all things through Christ”; or “I can reinvent myself endlessly!” And so, since your goal is to change negative emotions into positive ones, you can have an endless source for doing so.
Positive approaches to the search for peace of mind complement the previous exercise of finding your way to successfully creating a meaningful life for yourself. They help you to keep focused on the present in different ways, such as:
• encouraging you to search for peace within yourself, especially meditation.
• bringing to mind other ways of exercising spirituality, such as prayer
• seeking out communion with nature, as in Nature walks
• exercising creativity, as in painting, poetry or songwriting.
SUCCEED BY LIVING IN THE PRESENT
Focus on tasks because you feel at peace
Whenever there is something worthwhile to be gained, there are usually obstacles to be overcome. Failure is a word that adequately covers such obstacles. Therefore, Live in the present, so that toxic memories stop having power over you. If you are one of those persons who constantly review details of bad things that happened in the past, trying to understand why they happened, you need to stop doing so at once!
Instead of putting yourself to further stress by trying to understand the past, you make conscious efforts to live in the present and prepare for the future. You can think about the solutions offered below, or make up others of your own. And after doing so, take affirmative actions as needed.
I strongly believe that just as many famous persons who overcame early failures and went on to achieve great things in life, you can do so too, by applying the following guidelines to yourself.
REALISTICALLY QUESTION AND ANSWER YOURSELF
When you enjoy the present, you can learn to look forward to the future instead of constantly looking back. You can ask yourself questions, about your hopes and dreams, such as:
• What do I want to achieve in my future?
• When do I expect to see positive developments?
• Who are some role models that can help me to define my vision?
• Where will I be, before, during and after making the positive changes that I desire?
• How much time do I envision before the positive changes occur?
• How will I get the necessary experience needed to make my efforts really count?
HELP TO NEUTRALIZE MEMORIES
You can neutralize memories of social rejection, and instead, be determined to find your niche in society, make and carry out a plan to do so. Affirm your ability to move beyond the new positives in your life, live in the moment work hard to do what you affirm,
• COMMIT TO DIET -EAT RIGHT, AVOIDING AN EXCESS OF PROCESSED FOODS. If you agree to do this, you should also see the need to go easy on sugar, salt and fats. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and ensure that you drink plenty of pure water.
• GET AT LEAST 7 – 8 HOURS OF SLEEP NIGHTLY. Go to bed at a reasonable hour each night. Avoid working on your computer or using your cellphone in the bedroom. Ensure that your bedroom is dark, cool and quiet.
• EXERCISE – THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR OPTIMUM HEALTH–. Go to the gym, take a yoga class, or take up walking/power walking at least 3 times per week.
Exercise, fresh air and sunshine, taken together, are an excellent formula for neutralizing toxic memories and so pave the way for the healing of your mind, as well as your body and soul. This is a formula that can stimulate the appetite, so that your body has access to the fuel it needs to function properly. If you can take the prior steps (and there is no reason why you shouldn’t) you can start to enjoy the superlative results that must follow. This means that you can experience healing of the whole person!
Whether you were a child or adult, when you were hurt by adverse circumstances, your toxic memories of these events can be neutralized through fresh air exercise and abundant diet and accepting help as from the tree of life for the healing of the nations.
MANAGE SUCCESS IN THE PRESENT. Focus on success in the present instead of wallowing in fear of the future. Fear is the greatest obstacle standing in the way of superlative results in life. Mastering your fear of the pain of living frees you to exceed the efforts that you put out every day.
These may not be enough to garner the results that you planned for. However, by mastering fear, you open a channel for hope, and hope releases the inner strength that you need to deal with the pain of living, so finally, you can forge on to achieve superlative results.
Meditation can be a superb way of overcoming fear, and so getting back a sense of hope, thus regaining the serenity in your mind. And you need hope to make the most out of life. This is because hope teaches you to look beyond your conscious mind which endlessly seeks to define problems in order to suggest solutions, but often finds none. When you practice meditation, however, you enter a different realm, in which anything is possible. In a sense, you are not those negative thoughts that haunt your waking hours, and even threaten to disrupt your sleep.
Instead, you are an ephemeral being, your real self that lies outside of yourself. Looking at yourself in this way, as if from the outside, allows you to be aware of yourself as one who can, and will, sift out the beauty of the moment as it is separated from the ugliness of the past. Another way in which meditation might inspire creative activity is writing poetry, and although I say ‘poetry’ you may prefer to turn your poetry into songs. and songs.
One of the most obvious negatives of modern life is stress. And sooner or later, the fast pace of everyday living robs you of your peace of mind. However, the finding of peace of mind is the main therapeutic value of poetry. Speaking from my experience, both as a reader and a writer, poetry is not just of therapeutic value. Peace of mind is poetry’s gift, from the poetic psalms of King David to the defiant ascendency of Maya Angelou’s poems, as in Still I Rise. Whether you’re a reader or a writer, poetry helps to condition your mind towards achieving superlative results.
UTILIZE A SWOT ANALYSIS TO HELP YOU TO SET GOALS FOR SUCCEEDING IN THE PRESENT
You could also use this method to build strengths and avoid weaknesses in controlling your thoughts.
The suggested format for a SWOT analysis is as follows:
STRENGTHS: the abilities or traits that you have which can make you be as good as or even better than other people.
WEAKNESSES: the abilities or traits that you have that make you feel that others are better than you.
OPPORTUNITIES: the resources that are available to help you to reach your goals, such as the ability to think effectively
THREATS: the things that are working against your ability to achieve your goals — for example: lack of self-confidence
This means that you can look at challenges, such as an impending examination, or a job interview, not as a tormentor, but with a sense of confidence that you are not alone. You have a friend, comforter and guide who will faithfully help you to get through the challenge successfully. It is one who as your provider ensures that you have developed the confidence to rise to the challenges that stand before you and handle them successfully.
IN CONCLUSION: LIVING IN THE PRESENT GIVES YOU THE FREEDOM TO SUCCEED
By living in the present, you can affirm your determination to apply all your mental, spiritual, and physical powers, into making a viable plan.
The plan one that is specific in what you aim to achieve. measurable, for example, the percentage increase in your experience of health, emotional and mental faculties, and expression of the spiritual dimension of life, that is, fellowship with God. Agree within yourself that you will release your past to God. Then make a viable plan for your future, and allow this plan to shape every ability, faculty, and resource, that you have. By doing this, you will have taken a bold step on the path to success.
So, start living in the present, if you are not doing so already. You should also commit to change your attitude and give yourself the gift of adopting a heathy regimen of proper diet and exercise. Do so, believing that you have received the power to succeed by living in the present while planning for the future. By doing so, you will set yourself on the road to succeed in all your endeavors, no matter how dismal your chances may seem at first.
Living in the present is the only way to ensure the happiness you want, and deserve, in life!
